Coat size Alabama Volunteer Corps button made just before the war and bearing the retailer's backmark of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, firm of Lambert & Mast. This non-excavated example by the short-term partnership of Joseph H. Lambert and John and Louis Mast (1861-1863) is extremely rare. This is Albert's AB3a and Scovill was most likely the manufacturer. The patina is beautiful and the condition is as new. Droop winged eagle with letters "A.V.C." above. Rare and perfect Alabama Civil War artifact, formerly from Frank Davido and Rafael Eledge's inventory.
