Terms of Sale

All items are described to the best of our ability. If we make an error we will make it right. It is best to call and reserve an item as many of them are unique. We do out best to keep the website current, but sometimes items sell out of the shop or at a show and aren't removed immediately. After you place your order and receive confirmation from J.S. Mosby the item will be held for one week until payment arrives. If payment is not received within 7 days, the item will be placed back for sale. Please call between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Thursday-Saturday. 540-672-9944. (Shipping Information, see below.) Virginia residents must add 5% sales tax on the item's sale price. If you are unsatisfied with the purchase, return it in unaltered condition with original receipt within 5 days for a refund minus shipping charges and restocking fee of 5%. (Lay-aways can be arranged on costly items, see below.) We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. We are always buying and trading so feel free to make an offer. Thanks for visiting!

Payment Information

Checks or Money orders. (Lay-away terms: 1/3 down, 1/3 in 30 days, balance due in full in 60 days. There are no refunds or price discounts on layaways. Only one item may be in lay-away at a time unless approved by J.S. Mosby Antiques & Artifacts.

We guarantee all items to be authentic and as described.

Shipping Information

We use the United States Postal Service, FedEx, or United Parcel Service for shipping. Insurance is included in all shipping costs to protect your item. We are happy to combine items to reduce the shipping costs. Please let us know if you have placed multiple orders.

Firearms
If you have ordered an antique firearm from our website please be advised that these guns are sold strictly as collectible antiques.
J.S. Mosby strongly recommends that these artifacts never be fired. By ordering you are acknowledging this suggestion and assume full responsibility for your personal actions regarding them.
We DO NOT sell modern guns. All our firearms are pre-1898 and are classified as antiques and require no government paperwork to own, ship, or purchase.
