Here is a typical American powder horn of the 19th century. It is intact with carved stopper and rawhide sling. It measures 9 1/4" from end to end. It is delicately appointed with thin decorative circular lines. Color is nice, parts are original, except for the rawhide which is likely a replacement from long ago. Intials are "E.J.K." Therev are a couple tiny worm holes and two short tiny cracks, but nothing detracting from the whole. Nice horn.
