This is a nice regulation US Army bugle, Model 1892 Pattern with original infantry cord in good condition. This horn was made by Wurlitzer in Cincinati, Ohio, and was produced the old-fashioned way obvious by the dovetailed seam in the brass bell. It is 16 1/2" long. The horn is undamaged, unrepaired, and plays well. All modern bugles are based on this model but most are not nearly as well made as the early examples such as this one. A military bugle such as this adds real charm and cachet to any display of Spanish American War and World War I artifacts.
