Here is an army issue US mess tin with decorative embellishments and soldier's initials on the cover. The initials are "F C H" with "AC" and "140" beneath. "Eng. 6. 6. 18" and "France 6. 7. 18" and "#97" are also scratched into the face. Research might reveal the full identity of this soldier who went to France during WW I.
