Here is another US cartridge box plate excavated by Dr. Francis A. Lord about 50 years ago. There is no attribution regarding location but I would suspect the Shenandoah Valley. The hooks are long gone and the lead has some cracking from expansion and there is one short crack in the lower left hand sector about 1/4 inch ling. Not very noticeable. All in all, the plate looks good with nice splotchy green and tan dirt still staining the face to give definition.
