This is another example of the fine products of the Boyt Harness Company since 1901. This one bears the date of manufacture 1944 and was originally brown to subscribe to Army regulations. Later, the Army regs changed and these holsters were blackened to subscribe to the new regs. This was typical of those carried in Vietnam. Condition is excellent: stitching is sound, leather is very good, no crazing. The iron attachment hook on the reverse is missing but easily replaced. Very nice serviceable holster for the 1911 .45 auto.
