This holster was made by G & K 1917 for use with the Colt New Service revolver or the Smith & Wesson M1917 revolver. These sturdy holsters are getting more and more difficult to come by in such good condition as this example. The holster exhibits wear but not abuse. Stitching is sound except for a 1" section along the underside of the barrel, leather is supple with very minor crazing around latch tab and barrel length, rivets and finial still firmly secured. The stamping is visible but the U of the US has been softened by the pressure of the revolver's cylinder as is often the case with this particular holster. Overall very good example and priced to compensate for the broken stitch even though it is NOT visible!
